This workshop on Friday 6 October 2023 is organised by the European Commission (EC) and will explore the evidence available on the role of environmental stressors in the development of childhood cancer and existing research gaps and future needs.
The Horizon Europe Mission on Cancer foresees a novel comprehensive mission approach by integrating innovative methods to research, public health and many other policies. This includes citizen engagement to achieve jointly with Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan an ambitious goal: Improving the lives of more than 3 million people by 2030 through prevention and cures, and for those affected by cancer (including their families) to live longer and better lives.
Professionals in this field who wish to be involved in this effort are invited to participate at the workshop on 6 October 2023 9am-5:30pm (CET).
Please note that onsite participation is very limited. Interested participants will be able to follow the first two open sessions of this event online through the livestream. The outcomes of the workshop will be shared publicly at a later stage.
